Mazel Tov

Mazel Tov to Barry and Mia Ackerman on the marriage of their daughter, Ellie Ackerman, to Eric Uffer, on May 31, 2026. Eric is the son of Gayle Uffer and the late Paul Uffer of East Meadow, NY.

Mazel Tov to the following graduates:

-- Calliope Goldman, daughter of Kevin and Sasha Goldman and granddaughter of Steve and Laurie Goldman, graduated from Barrington High School with honors. She will be attending Emory University in Atlanta and plans to study art history.

-- Jacob Nicolato, son of David and Cortney Nicolato, graduated from North Kingstown High School with honors. He also obtained his engineering CTE certificate and was a member of the school’s Leadership Academy. Jacob will be attending Oklahoma State University to pursue a bachelor's degree in aviation management and professional flight. He also has been selected to OSU's Presidential Leadership Council.

-- Rachel Sweeney graduated with summa cum laude honors from Mason (Ohio) High School. She is the daughter of James and Christine Sweeney and the granddaughter of Joel and Pamela Cohen. Rachel is heading to Purdue University in Lafayette, IN, to study mathematics and statistics with a biology minor. She is a competitive dancer with a talent for hip hop.
